ALAA FAKHREDDINE
Born and raised in Tripoli, Lebanon and in the midst of its civil war, I always found myself gravitating towards the unifying force of the arts and design. Having studied Graphic Design at the Academie Libanaise des Beaux-arts - Beirut, I later moved to New York to pursue a Masters Degree at Pratt Institute in Communication Design.
Throughout the years, I continue to be greatly inspired and affected by the works of many artists such as Helmut Newton & Steven Klein's bold and fierce sadomasochistic innuendos, Tim Walker & David LaChapelle's larger than life imagery and fantasy, Sagmeister's loaded and shattering messages, and Paula Scher's modern adaptations of vintage posters.
And as I remain heavily driven by such monumental figures and colossal forces of art, I personally strive to preserve volatility in my designs as a means of catering to a greater variety of clientele and of course my own individual growth.
In the end, I believe the crux of my work centers around undertaking any sort of subject and finding a proper expression of its content in terms of form and style-that is, by means of a more vibrant, bold, colorful and loaded design.
Currently I reside in New York City as I hope to benefit from its cutthroat markets nurturing and colorful habitat-both personally and professionally.
